Who can join a committee?
People who can join are:

- Member families and friends
- Providers

Not all committees need new members right now. But we'll keep your form on file for future openings. If you join a committee, we'll provide you with all the training and support you need. Read on to learn about all the committees.
Governance
Help our Board of Directors improve processes and decide on best ways to deliver benefits. Work on focus areas like food insecurity or addiction recovery. Bring your ideas about what we can do in our community to help with these challenges.
Member advocacy
Be the voice of the member. Advise us on delivering services in ways that meet member needs. Tell us how easy or hard it is to use our services. Share what you think members need. Bring issues based on your experience or that of someone else in the community. Help us improve things for everyone.
Foster and adoptive care
You have experience in foster, adoptive, and kinship families or group home settings. Share your needs and communication methods that work best for you. Discuss ways we can improve our behavioral health services for child welfare.
Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS)
The CLAS standards are guidelines we use to tailor services and communication to a person’s culture and language preferences. Help us improve access to our services for people who may have different needs based on their culture, language or health beliefs and practices. It means better health for more people.
Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) member advisory council
Share topics that focus on the long-term care program. Tell us about your needs as a member or family member. Talk about the challenges you have with a long-term condition or disability. Bring ideas about how we can help you get the services you need.
Youth Leadership Council (YLC)
Join youth from different backgrounds to talk about care issues. Share ways we can connect with and support youth who aren’t members. Interested in the YLC? Fill out the YLC form – English or YLC form – Español. Questions? Call Kim Hemmersbach at 602-918-0226.
